The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, today launched the cultural project 'Blanca, Villa del Libro' (LSE) by which the municipality will join 15 other Europeans who have the designation of "Villa del Libro."

BvL is an initiative born with a purpose to make cultural tourism and public spaces in the city in places suitable for reading and "reinterpret and the proper function of the layout of the streets," explained the director, adding that "there has reading charted a course that runs through the town's people. To do so, has created a network of specialized libraries and public areas and objectives.
Thus, the distribution centers will be reading of Story House, directed at children, an e-library with publications of books on digital screens, and a specialized library in the water, and another on art, fiction and sports and another called 'Coffee' which will be in the local bars.
