White City Council, through its Communications Office in collaboration with the Department of Culture, has organized a contest of popular theater.
A jury selected by the Town will vote winner among the six participants.
The works will be represented at the Victoria Theatre, on days 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 December at 20:30.
White City Council, through its Communications Office in collaboration with the Department of Culture, has organized the first contest of popular theater that carries the name of one of the most emblematic of the town, Esperanza Castillo, who initiated those of Blanca in the world of folklore and performing arts.
This award of theater is part of the project culture through art, with which the Consistory aims to contribute to building a forum for knowledge representation and artistic exchange, as well as offering the possibility of preparing an area for expression artistic of all those fans to the theater and for those who begin their journey into this art.
This project began with the intention of giving young people a place for integration into a cultural activity such as drama, strengthen training and education initiatives of this art, offer other recreational options, promoting theatrical initiative in the Region Murcia, offer a place for representation amateur companies and create pathways that allow them to be released and show their talent.
In this issue, the six finalists for the contest are amateur groups commitment Theater, Masquerade Theatre, The Bonfire, The Bold, Freedom Theatre and Theatre the able.
The performances will take place from 3 to December 8, inclusive, at the Victoria Theatre at 20:30.
The City Council grant to each participating group a grant of 600 € for travel.
The jury awarded the following awards: best representation Prize, worth 3,000 €, the best player will receive € 600 and Best Actress will also be awarded with 600 €.
The festival will begin tomorrow, December 3, with the performance of the group representing the commitment Theater "The Sofia angel" whose screenplay, direction and original idea belongs to Paz Martínez.
Day 4 of Masquerade Theatre will be the ones who will carry the Victoria's work The Lesson by Eugene Ionesco.
The theater group will represent the show Bonfire Guest, from the text of "Huespedanfitrión" by Pedro Vera, on day 5.
On Saturday 6 will be the turn of a group of White women who call the daring who will make audiences laugh with "My Dad."
Freedom theater group will do the same on day 7, performs "Baptism of Palos", free version of the text of Concha Gómez.
Finally, the Teatro La Able will end the festival with a performance of "Don Armando Gresca."
