White celebrates International Museum Day under the theme "Art Libre 'with works of art from more than thirty artists, concerts and tours during the 16th and 17th of May visit.
The initiative has the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, has been presented by the local mayor, Rafael Laorden, and director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta Lopez-Briones.
Throughout the weekend they will be opened in the town more than twenty exhibition spaces and the streets will be filled with art from various disciplines and styles, some of them belonging to the collection of contemporary art ICA.
The program to celebrate the Museum Day, which takes place on Monday 18, will start on Saturday, May 16th, at 11:00 hours with the opening of the different spaces that can be visited throughout the day and Sunday from 11:00 to 15:00 hours.
On Saturday, from 18:00 a guided tour that will depart from the Museum of Light and Water and in which participants can enjoy art that will interpret melodies accompanied by music bands and quartets will be performed saxophones and clarinets.
The visit will end at 21:00 pm in the Pedro Cano Foundation, on whose terrace will be a concert.
In "Art Libre 'a total of 33 artists and groups involved.
Most of them show paintings and sculptures, although there will be video installations such as Bernardi Roig and Pedro Ortuño, collages like Annie C. and photography will be represented by Jano Schmitt, Maria Jose Prisons and Geographic Society.
Participants in this initiative are painters Francisco Solana, Daniel Cutillas, Pedro Cano, Studio Galiano, Luis Marino, Luis J. Fernandez, Araceli Delgado, José María Garres Alvaro Peña and La Akademia Miwako.
The sculptures exhibited in White, meanwhile, are the work of Carmen Baena, who also show his pictorial work, Pepe Yagües, Naomi Yepes, Jose Rosales, Lola Arcas, Gonzalez Moreno Gonzalez Marcos Antonio Rosa, Blas Miras and Nicholas of Maya .
At these authors must add, also, a total of more than eight sculptures are part of the contemporary art collection of the ICA.
Specifically, it may come in different spaces works by Antonio Campillo, Manolo Valdés, Equipo Crónica, Amancio Gonzalez, Baltazar Torres, Guillermo Pérez Villalta and Leiro.
