THEORY
Displacing History: The Political Project of Sensate Bodies.
Raegan TRUAX (USA)
In this talk Raegan Truax maps a transnational constellation of female artists whose work is cataloging the history in the body through the performance.
It also ponders the ways in which each art project subverts the capitalist art market and how to produce knowledge based on the senses and physical experience.
Raegan Truax is a durational performer who creates visceral and physical environments.
His work was recently featured in Marina Abramovic Institute in Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK / U) in Berlin, South of Market in San Francisco Arts, Grüntaler 9 in Berlin, The Northern California Performance Platform, Berlin Art Week and Performance Studies International.
Currently developing her PhD on durational performance at the University of Stanford (California)
