The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has conducted a series of improvement works at the College of Education and Primary Virgen del Pilar, located in the hamlet of White Station, which has built a cover over the sports court has made a total investment of 137,637.50 euros.
In recent years, investment in infrastructure of the Ministry in the four schools in the municipality amounted to 1,291,586.90 euros.
The secretary general of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, Manuel Marcos Sánchez, the general director of Educational Centers, María Dolores Valcárcel and Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, today visited the recently executed works and also held a working meeting with the school board Antonio Molina González of the town.
The renovation and improvement of school Virgen del Pilar are an intervention to protect the sports center tracks, asphalt built in the 80s and whose wear had been blocked a few years ago with a layer of concrete.
Nowadays, after this intervention, the tracks are in good conditions for sports and fitness classes for students at the school and has been covered to increase the convenience and comfort of students and teachers.
After visiting the CEIP Virgen del Pilar, the general secretary, the general manager and the mayor moved to the college Antonio Molina González, which toured the facilities to assess your current situation and meet the needs of the center for future courses.
During the meeting, Manuel Marcos Sanchez explained that "soon, we will invest in school Antonio Molina González over 10,000 euros to upgrade the electricity grid study center and other renovations in order to provide students and teachers with the best facilities to facilitate the implementation of the '+ Educational Quality + School Success' strategy. Undoubtedly, every day schools in Blanca and the Autonomous Community are becoming ever better and continue to work to make it so in collaboration with municipalities ".
Chapter aid for textbooks and school supplies, investment from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities in the town during the current academic year 2014-2015 amounted to 13,970 scholarships, which have benefited a total of 111 students from four schools.
