Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, presented this morning by the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, and the Councillor for Culture, Esther Horton, the cast of writers Blanca host of February 5 to March 12
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the City of White today launched the sixth edition of the literary cycle 'River of letters', with the participation of renowned writers like Jerome Tristante Murcia, journalist Pilar Eyre or Espido Freire.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, and Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, reported these literary meetings, which will start on February 5 with the presentation of 'Stories and fables for children attending schools' by Antonio Molina González whose adaptation has been borne by Ángel Cano.
During the presentation, the general director of Cultural Property noted that these initiatives represent an opportunity to meet and exchange between readers and authors.
"This is the sixth year of an appointment that starts to become indispensable in the cultural calendar of the Region of Murcia in which the prominent names of the national literary scene gather and contributes so determined to promote reading and boost the literary creation, "said Maria Comas.
The cycle will start on February 5 with the presentation of 'tales and fables for children attending schools', in which a collection of stories of blanqueño author Antonio Molina González by Ángel Cano Molina is collected and Illustrations Rosa María Martínez Hurtado.
The 12th will be the turn of journalist and writer Pilar Eyre, whereas in the following weeks intervene writer Jerome Tristante Murcia, creator of Victor Ros, whom Spanish Television has just dedicated a television series;
the author of detective novels Dolores Redondo and writer, columnist and winner of the Premio Planeta Espido Freire, which will close this cycle on March 5.
This cycle is included within the cultural project 'Blanca, Villa Book', with which this municipality joined, in 2009, an international network of cities with this name in which there are only two Spanish cities: White and Valladolid town of Urueña.
In the five previous editions have been involved internationally renowned writers such as Fernando Sánchez-Drago, Carmen Posadas, Javier Cercas or recently deceased Ana Maria Matute.
The first conference, all free, will be held in the Auditorium of MUCAB, while the rest is held at the Pedro Cano Foundation of the town
