Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, yesterday inaugurated a new exhibition at the Black Center.
It's 13 large-format works in charcoal by artist, Atis Jakobsons during his two-month stay with the group AADK
The Black Center hosts until February 8 new series of works in charcoal created by artist, Atis Jakobsons during his residence in the center next to the collective AADK.
Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, inaugurated the new series of large format paintings that are part of the project of Latvian artist, Dark Matter, which works on the unknown.
It is thirteen drawings in charcoal where the artist reflects light and heaven observed from the hill while in Black Centre, who have inspired you to create this new series later exhibited in Riga (Latvia) and Berlin.
Jakobsons investigates the perception of the unknown referred to as the dark in various fields such as religion, philosophy, literature or science from an introspective perspective that invites the viewer to experience the cognitive threshold layers of the unknown.
The exhibition will be open on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 12 am to 14 pm, and evening, only on Saturdays, from 4 to 7.
