"Five years and a day like today, one of the most international sculptors in our region makes death. Did not find better way to pay tribute to Pedro Cano Foundation, the friendship between him and our flagship painter" .
With these words, Mayor White, Rafael Laorden, referred to the events that took place in last night to mark the tribute that the town has surrendered to Antonio Campillo on the fifth anniversary of his death.
Following the roundtable participated Juan Perez, Clemente Garcia Martín Páez, Francisco Marin Andres Pacheco and Guevara, a video that was reviewing images of the sculptor's life since his arrival in Madrid to the School of Fine Arts until his last moments screened his life, surrounded by his loved ones, authorities and their works.
The event ended with the opening of the exhibition 'Antonio Campillo: sculptor of light' with which the municipality acts also opened around the celebration of International Museum Day.
