Lectures, screening of a documentary and a mobile classroom have served to bring youth from Blanca to their rights and responsibilities as citizens of the Union.
The Councillor for Culture, Employment and Social Affairs of the City of White, Esther Horton, and the Director General of EU and External Relations, Carmen Sandoval, inaugurated this morning the days 'Yo, European citizens' organized counseling Presidency with the objective to inform citizens of their rights and responsibilities associated with citizenship of the Union, and the importance of the European Parliament, the decisions taken at this institution and its impact on our daily lives.
The awareness campaign, which started in Blanca, coincides with the holding of elections to the European Parliament, which aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship among young people and be able to increase their participation in shaping the European Union morning.
Students of Schools of White received a talk hands Allepuz Teresa, who approached attendees a clearer understanding of the institutions, training, employment and mobility in the European Union., As well as treaties, actions and EU programs in the region.
The conference, collected under the title of 'Meet the EU, know your rights' held after the screening of the documentary 'We are Europe' where a group of citizens of the Region have experience relevant European policies, institutions and exercise of the rights recognized in the Charter of the European Union.
It has also established a mobile classroom at the Town Hall Square where the technicians of the Ministry have offered information on the European Union, its institutions and policies as well as informative material.
