The twelfth edition of Triathlon Villa Blanca reunited more than two thousand people in the town to enjoy the sport where athletes have to walk 750 meters down the river to swim, 20 km bike and 5 kilometer race walk

The White triathlon, organized by the Department of Sports city council, established himself as one of the regional circuit testing any triathlete wants to miss.
A total of 230 triathletes started the race on the beach of Arenal.
First they did the women, followed by men, that after the 750 meter swim were preparing to take the bike, encouraged by the more than two thousand spectators who thronged the Segura River Avenue to see the transitions and arrival at goal.
After traveling 20 miles on bike and foot race 5, the young triathlete Pedro Antonio López de Haro, crossed the finish line first with a time of 51:15.
After him came Joseph Penalver Sanchez (52:09) and Miguel Angel Velasco Mato (52:11).
In females, Mabel Gallardo was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 58:20.
Miras Raquel Maria Costa (1:00:56) came second and Maria del Pilar Conesa Vilchez (1:02:13) third podium position completing female.
