The director of the Institute for Cultural Industries and Arts, Juan Antonio Lorca, today announced special programming that the City of White has organized on the occasion of the celebration of International Museum Day, which will take place on 18 and 19 May.
In the presentation, which was also attended by the mayor, Rafael Laorden, the CEO said that it is "a unique opportunity to see a number of artists and unmatched quality."
Lorca said project is a "very interesting" that this weekend will offer visitors to White "a wide range of artistic possibilities for everyone."
So White celebrates Museum Day with the premise of using art as a free activity, opening all the exhibition spaces are there in the town, municipal or private, and organizing both exhibitions of painting and sculpture as theater and dance on the street.
Events take place in 15 exhibition spaces which are the Museum of Water and Light, Pedro Cano Foundation, the Municipal Exhibition Halls I and II, Black Center, the Chamber Idol, Factory, Gallery La Negra, the Pepe study Galiano, Estanislao Parra's house, the gardens of the Count, the spaces Biblio-Plaza I and II, Calle José Antonio and all the artists in the Way of Art.
Among the exhibits that can be seen an artistic highlights ten Salvador Dalí sculptures belonging to the collection of the Community and which, besides being "unusual", as the CEO, "highlight the oneiric universe artist ".
The program also has a sculpture installation by Antoni TÃ pies, also assigned by the Community, a series of eight sculptures by Antonio Campillo and municipal Photography Collection, including works by Enrique Marti, Francesc Torres, Eva Lootz, Julio Ponzoa, Joan Foncuberta, Martín Chirino, Juan de Sande, Maso Mireia Gonzalez Beltran and Pedro Cano.
