The literary cycle White hosted last night in MUCAB, the poetry reading by Elena Alvarez, one of the great names in Spanish poetry of the past decades.

José María Álvarez (Cartagena, 1942) landed in the River Arts at the hand of Isabelle Garcia, director of the Hall of Poetry at the University of Murcia, who after some comments on the author opened the recital of poems, poet, essayist Cartagena and translator conveyed with his characteristic force.

The Cartagena poet recited some of his poems that talk about authors like Jorge Marique, Konstantino Cavafy or Casanova, which said "it is impossible to understand the eighteenth century without having read this author."

Two poems about the city of Venice, one about love seen from the perspective of desire, and one based on the letters of Eloisa to Abelard completed the poetry evening of the fourth edition of Rio de Letras.

The cycle will continue next Thursday, March 7, with the intervention of Manuel Vicent, who will give a lecture under the title of 'The random blonde woman.
