White experienced yesterday a party for the Triathlon.
At 1830 hours, 227 triathletes took the exit at the river beach of El Arenal, after barely 50 minutes, Matthew Pesquer (52'53''), Mandarache athletics club, crossed the finish line proclaimed champion of the Triathlon Villa Blanca which celebrated its eleventh edition.
The women started out two minutes after the male, reaching the goal triathlete Puerto Lumbreras, Mabel Gallardo with a time of one hour, one minute and twenty seconds.
Blanqueña test, the mode of Sprint Triathlon, consisted of 850 meter swim, 20 kilometer bike and 5,200 meter run, by a circuit which, for many athletes, it is very demanding because of the continuing increases that come with section of the bike, which runs through the White Marsh environment, and the hardness of the run with two climbs to a very steep slope.
Moreover, yesterday was marked by the intense heat which will exceed 37 degrees Celsius.
The podium male triathletes completed the Pedro Antonio Lopez (52'59''), triathlon club Daemons Rivas and Roberto Sanchez (53'16''), Tragaleguas club.
In the women's podium, Gallardo was accompanied by veteran Helena Olea (1h04'09''), the sports club Atalanta, and junior Cristina Moya Dolo (1h05'19''), triathlon club Albacete.
