The Victoria Theatre White dressed up in last night to celebrate the act of Proclamation officially announcing the start of Holy Week.
This year, the town crier was Jose Antonio Laveda Cano, a very tied to traditions blanqueñas and Easter.
Currently, Laveda is at the forefront of the treasury of the Brotherhood of St. John the Evangelist, which claims to be his "other family".
The Town Crier Easter blanqueña told the audience the origin of the processions in White and told anecdotes of the traditional puja.
He also praised those who formed guilds and families today are at the forefront of these brotherhoods.
In the reading of the opening ceremony, organized by the council together with the Department of Culture of the City of White, surrendered the Year award to Adelaide Cofrade Palazón Sanchez, for their involvement in the Easter of the locality.
Awards were also given drawing contest Easter White organized ten years ago the City Council of Fraternities and where children are involved schools in the municipality.
The winners were Paul Miñano Zapata, Jose Antonio Cano Davó, Jessica Cano Cano, Miguel Alenjandro Miñano Sanchez, Mario Molina Egea, José María Martínez Parra and Monica Molina Nunez.
