White continues its municipal accessibility plan with the elimination of architectural barriers at José Antonio.
This plan has already earned him the 2008 Reina Sofía Prize Universal Accessibility.
The investment project has been 60 thousand euros, funded under a collaborative agreement between the IMSERSO, the ONCE Foundation and the city council.
The work, executed by the White Company Social Development, has been the elimination of curb and sidewalks, as well as different types of asphalt pavement and to unify the track environment that converge in the Calle José Antonio.
Among the actions carried out, the sidewalks have been identified with a material different from the road and trees and benches have been installed to prevent parking of vehicles by encouraging access to various shops and portals, as well as the visibility of these .
The municipal accessibility plan aims to remove barriers to the tracks adjacent to Calle Jose Antonio in order to unify the environment in which they are most of the establishments in the city and enhance the commercial offer of the town of the population through revitalization of existing space.
