Like every January 6, the crew of the Holy Souls of White, held its traditional "good-bye to All Souls."
This is one of the most deeply rooted traditions and White celebrated every year on Three Kings Day.
It is not known exactly when it began to take place this tradition in the municipality blanqueño, but has its origin in the doctrine of Purgatory, a place where the souls of the righteous who die stain of sin atoning for their sins are purified before being admitted to the Heaven.
The holy souls are the souls of the deceased who are in purgatory waiting to redeem their sins to meet God.
The Animas crews emerged with the aim of helping souls out of Purgatory, and asked for them by the "couplets animero" octosyllabic couplets of four verses, rhyming assonance or consonant in the second and fourth, being the first free and third.
In White, a gang headed by the banner with the picture of the Virgen del Carmen, a lawyer from Purgatory, through the streets of the town during the dates next to Christmas, singing and playing the "animero songs."
The alms that are collected are used for support for the seminar, for Masses for the dead and the poor.
"The leave of Souls", as known in White, is held every January 6.
He starts singing in the Chapel of "The Miracle" and then walk the streets near the church.
Upon reaching the church, the gang, at the foot of the altar, initiates the "goodbye" which is sung in two parts.
The first consists of the verses of the prayers that the souls in Purgatory do to be rescued and the second in by calling the saints to end the suffering of these souls.
It ends tacando some "goodbye."
Once the act is recited the phrase "health for next year."
