Speakers pharmacology teachers, psychiatrists and lawyers
Cannabis, cocaine, amphetamines, alcohol, snuff, and the dangers of their use, will be protagonists of a course at the University Campus International Mar-Mare Nostrum, entitled "Drug Dependence, will address the substance Abuse in views as diverse as the pharmacological, psychiatric, or legal.
Different experts describe both types of existing drugs and the mechanisms that are triggered in the brain after prolonged use, and changes that occur in the short and long term.
Will also discuss the latest treatments to deal with these addictions and prevention methods.
The course to be held in the town of Blanca between 12 and 15 September, pharmacology professors participate in various Spanish universities, as well as psychiatrists and lawyers.
Those responsible for the course aims to impart to students a broad theoretical training on the subject from a multidisciplinary perspective, to provide in-depth knowledge of the phenomena related to consumption and dependence on drugs, in order to understand the effects particular addiction and withdrawal, as well as organic and functional extructura involved in these processes.
The course is directed by Maria Luisa and Maria Victoria Carrasco Laorden Maquilón Milanés, Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Murcia.
The registration period is open until September 5 and students upon request be entitled to three free credits.
