The new infrastructure will allow the simultaneous passage of two vehicles and pedestrian traffic
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning has completed the drafting of the proposed construction of a new bridge over the river Segura in White, helping to improve access to urban center.
The Director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, recalled that "at present there is a metal bridge in a single lane, which makes access to downtown and slows the movement."
For this reason, we propose "a new infrastructure that allows simultaneous passage of two vehicles, thus helping to streamline communications."
In particular, it envisages the creation of a road that connects the Segura River Avenue of the population, which acts as a bypass of the village, and the RM-520 highway, which connects the town with eyes.
Thus, also channel traffic from the road in their RM-533 connection between the two routes, and avoid the obligatory passage through the center of the population.
The new bridge will have two lanes and sidewalks, as well as for lighting.
This will provide, said the CEO, "appropriate road safety conditions for pedestrian traffic and visibility during the night."
In addition, plans the execution of a roundabout at either end of the bridge to channel traffic and to facilitate left turns.
