The town of Blanca has organized an awareness lecture and a dance marathon to mark the day for the Elimination of Violence on Women to be held on Thursday throughout the world.
The talk "Educating equality ', given by the center against domestic violence, CAVI, began the days that the council of the municipality of White Women has organized on the occasion of the celebration on Thursday, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
"The aim of this conference is to raise awareness of the importance of equality between men and women. Therefore, we have addressed this conference to a younger audience, and we should start from the grassroots to educate equality" noted M ª Carmen Rios, mayor of Women in White.
The presentation, held at the Cultural Center Miguel Ángel Abenza has been given by Julia Casales, Concha Sánchez and María José Fernández, a social worker, psychologist and lawyer respectively.
These professionals have focused on the importance of education on gender violence, and have covered various aspects of everyday life with the audience.
On Thursday, hosting a Latin dance marathon on the square of the Church, which is enlivened by a dance professional, a native of Cuba, who will teach the basics of salsa, bachata and merengue.
