The theater association 'La Amistad' presented last night the 3rd Amateur Comic Theater Contest 'Amigos del Teatro' organized by the group with the collaboration of the Municipal Council.
The Competition will take place at the Victoria Theater on January 27, and on February 3, 18 and 24.
Three groups will choose the contest that will feature the final performance of the local group 'La Amistad' on February 24, which will put the final touch to the festival with the play 'Coge el dinero y corr' by Jesús Cisneros.
Tickets for this work will be priced at 4 euros.
The first of the performances will be this Saturday, January 27 at 9:00 pm, with the theater group of San Javier that will interpret Molière's 'The Imaginary Patient'.
A work that is considered one of the great classics of universal literature of the seventeenth century, in which the French playwright, Jean-Baptiste Poquelìn "Molière" performs a satire on the doctors of his time.
The comedy is full of intrigue, love, but above all family entanglements.
The second work in the contest will be given by the theater group Bullas, on Saturday, February 3 at 9:00 pm, with the interpretation of 'The Grönholm method' by Jordi Galcerán.
In it we can see the latest interview for candidates for a position of senior executive with a salary of vertigo.
But this last interview will not be so simple, the final selection will be made by an unconventional method, the 'Grönholm Method'.
Locked in an office, they must pass a series of tests of the most bizarre to finish with the rest of candidates.
The only rule is that there are no rules.
To what extent will the last four executives be able to reduce their dignity in order to get the job?
Finally, the theater group Olea, from Algezares, will take to the contest the play 'They killed Don Juan' by Federico Oliver, on Sunday, February 18 at 8:00 p.m.
A work that will try to solve many questions about Don Juan de José Zorrilla.
Questions like who is this D. Juan?
A gallant, a scoundrel, the mythical theatrical character, romantic hero, who died for love?
Or maybe he's not so dead and relives every time an actor plays him on stage?
Or is he really very much alive, crouching inside each man, waiting for a virile situation to emerge?
Or everything in D. Juan is a great farce, and the hero is nothing more than a ghost?
Too many questions that have to be solved, to know who has killed him, before the show ends ... or no one comes out of the theater!
