Eight groups will fight to win the second edition of 'Movimiento Sonoro'.
The musical contest organized by the Department of Culture, Social Welfare and Personal of the municipality of Blanca will kick off this Friday, November 17, with the live performance of Álvaro Halley at La Taberna del Modas.
All concerts will be with free admission at 22.30.
The councilman of Culture, Soledad Ríos, has been very satisfied with the reception that has had this second edition where groups from various parts of the Region of Murcia have registered.
"Our goal is to promote live music and support the bands and musicians of the Region, giving them a space in which to make themselves known" has declared the white mayor.
The eight semi-finalist groups will perform live in the cafeterias and pubs of the municipality every Friday until December 5, which will be the last performance.
From there will be the 3 finalists that will be part of the final gala that will feature the participation of 'Adiós Nicole', winners of the contest Creamurcia 2017. The gala will be on January 20, at the Victoria Theater, and all the proceeds in it social purposes, as Soledad Ríos has pointed out.
The winners of the contest will receive an economic prize of 600 euros and the possibility of acting in the Creamurcia 2018.
The rest of the groups that will fight to win the contest, along with Álvaro Halley, are Pio Play, November 24 at Gato Pardo pub;
Atientas, on December 1 in the Guarida del Pirata pub;
Bluelander, on December 5 in Café Siglo XX;
Hojarasca, on December 8 in Pub Luna;
Mona Luisa, on December 15 in Millennium pub;
The Amsterdammers, on December 22nd at Escándalo pub;
and Lady Ma Belle, on January 4 at El Molino pub.
Musical Culture and Social Action
The initiative aims to be "an activation of the musical culture in the municipality while promoting and supporting the different locations of the municipality using them as a scenario" said Soledad Rios, Councilor for Culture, who also wanted to thank the Department of Youth of the Murcia City Council his willingness to collaborate in the project 'Movement Sound' with the coordination of the same, together, to serve as a platform for the musical groups of the Region of Murcia.
Rios said that from the Department of Culture will continue betting on this project giving continuity in successive editions because, thanks to it, it will endow the municipality with an alternative leisure route, with music as a protagonist, for several months "giving activity to our municipality while it is reverted into a social action, since everything collected in the final gala will go to the social work done by the Food Bank of Segura ".
