The young Blanqueña, united since childhood with the local huertana peña, was officially presented as the new president at the 18th National Encounter of Popular Dances of Blanca, with the participation of the group 'Las refajonas' de Níjar (Almería) and the Group of Choirs and Dances of Blanca
La Peña Huertana El Ciecón has a new president.
It is Soraya Yelo, a young white girl who has always been linked to this group since childhood.
Yelo thus replaces Jesus Parra, who has been at the head of the white rock since its foundation.
The official presentation was at the XVIII National Encounter of Popular Dances in Blanca with the participation of the cultural association 'Las Refajonas' from Níjar, Almería, and Blanca's Choir and Dance Group.
Both offered a wide repertoire of folk dances like jotas, malagueñas or La Mancha, by the local group, and peteneras, zorongo or fandango by the Andalusian group.
The act also served to meet the new huertanas queens, Blanca Ibanez and Maria Teresa Molina.
