The Fiestas del Pilar start this weekend at the Estación de Blanca.
The Romería in honor of the patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, which is celebrated this Sunday at 10.30 hours, is one of the events with the most roots and tradition of the neighborhood of La Blanca, where the patron saint is transferred to the place of the Fountain of the Yahweh, in the Sierra de la Pila.
There, hundreds of neighbors spend a day of coexistence, after the mass that will take place at 13 o'clock.
The festivities, which begin on Friday with a contest of gachasmigas at 21.30 hours, in the park Juan XXIII that will feature an exhibition of Body Boot and Kangoo Power, were presented yesterday afternoon by the Councilor of Festivities and Youth , Lucia Ato, accompanied by the mayor of the neighborhood and the Queen of the parties and her court of Ladies of Honor.
On Saturday 7 will take place the traditional confinement of cattle, at 13 o'clock, which will be preceded by a tour of cane and cap, starting at 12 o'clock.
The day will feature the animation of the Musical Group Los Informales.
After the confinement there will be a party with the deejays Cris Deluxe and Pablo Combau, on Calle Mayor.
Throughout the following week activities have been programmed with "a clear commitment to live music" as assured the mayor of Fiestas, Lucia Ato.
In this sense, the citizens of Estación de Blanca will be able to enjoy the free concerts of Filiu & Cía and Miguel Havana (day 11, 12 at night), Los Hysos de Antonio Hidalgo (13, 12 at night) orchestra Vendetta Project (day 14, at 11 at night) and the flamenco group The party of the cousins, led by Fran Ruiz, who will perform on the 15th, starting at 21.30.

As a novelty, this year has organized an equestrian horse dressage contest that will take place on the 14th at 11 am in the spot Loma del Pilar, known as the slope of horses.
This activity is organized by the club Villa del Caballo.
The festival of the Pillar, on the 12th, will celebrate the traditional Huertan Mass with the offering of flowers of the Queens and Ladies of Honor and enlivened by Peña Huertana La Capaza.
After the homily, a barbecue will be tasted in the Parque Juan XXIII.
The day of Saturday 14, will host a contest of rice cake with rabbit and the traditional meeting of Giants and Cabezudos that already goes for the eighth edition (17.30 hours).
The end of parties will put the parade of floats and comparsas.
