The Museum and Art Center Blanca, MUCAB, from Friday, 6th, until October 29th, 'The signs of the hand' of the collective The monkey stolen.
An exhibition included in the Plan for Exhibition Spaces (EXE) promoted by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia through the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA) in order to promote local plastic artists, facilitate the city councils the possibility of having a quality cultural program and putting in value the exhibition spaces available in these municipalities.
Laura Mayol Hortelano, Adoración Martínez Lorca, Marta López Marín, Judit Mínguez Rabadán and Juan Ignacio Rico Sánchez, are the components of The Hand Stolen.
A group that, for the Councilor of Culture of the town council of Blanca, Soledad Ríos, permeate their proposals "a particular extravagance that provoke the viewer by encouraging him to think, engage and reflect on certain attitudes and stereotypes."
In addition to "interesting", this exhibition "is essential for the enrichment of the already recognized cultural trajectory in our municipality," adds the mayor of Blanqueña.
In this show, the creators raise a new look towards the works of art and propose to the viewer that the photographs be 'read' through the gesture of the hands.
For its realization, this collective created in 2011 and integrated by five young graduates in Fine Arts, has studied and tried to regenerate the inherited codes of the painting through the photography, taking as a motive the hands.
The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on Friday 6 October at 8 pm, is the second of the proposals that the ICA organizes this year in Blanca thanks to the Plan of Exhibition Spaces.
