This morning, the Mayor of Blanca, Ester Hortelano, and the Councilor for Public Safety, Francisco Javier Rodríguez, presented the Emergency and Safety Plan for the Encierro, held in the municipality of Vega del Segura on Saturday 12 August.
The plan is designed by the Municipal Consistory and Civil Protection working teams that have taken into account all the infrastructures, materials and human resources available to minimize the risk of the celebration of the Encierro and to ensure that everything goes with the greatest security for all The people who enjoy the event "as expressed by the mayor of Public Safety, Francisco Javier Rodríguez.
The document, according to Rodríguez, contemplates all the protocol and necessary actions in the event of any incident and "establishes the missions of each of the groups of specialists foreseen in the intervention, among which stand out Alarm and evacuation equipment (EAE ) ".
In addition, the necessary measures are specified to coordinate the large deployment of professionals from different fields that ensure the proper running of the Encierro, among which are the coordination of the health team, Civil Protection volunteers, security forces and municipal workers.
According to the plan, health care is fully guaranteed in the running of the bulls having this length of about 800 meters and counting 45 people dedicated exclusively to the assistance of injured.
In addition, Blanca's city council will enable up to six points of health assistance, with ambulance and civil protection volunteers provided with collapsible stretchers and first-aid packs, as well as shuttle cars.
The points will be distributed in Barrio Nuevo streets, coinciding with the exit of the cattle of the corral, Basilio, Pedro Portillo, Ortega and Gasset, Church Square, Bullring;
As well as many others for ambulances and Civil Protection volunteers.
The Department of Public Safety will deliver flyers with the rules of confinement recalling the importance of following the indications of Local Police and pastors.
Specific data of the Plan
The plan has First Aid Teams (EPA), First Intervention Teams (EPI), Second Intervention Team (ESI), Intervention Chief (Jl) and Emergency Chief (JE), among others.
The special device for this day will include Local Police, 30 Civil Protection volunteers, 4 Civil Guard patrols of White, Cieza, Jumilla and Archena, 5 private security agents and 45 for health care.
As for the means that will include a full operating room that will be located in the city and seven ambulances of which two will be advanced life support with medical staff and four non-care.
