The Regional Triathlon League stopped yesterday in the municipality of Blanca that hosted its sixteenth Triathlon Villa de Blanca.
The test was marked by intense heat due to the high temperatures recorded this weekend in the Region of Murcia.
Even so, 200 "brave" did not hesitate to jump into the waters of the Segura where the first swimming sector was held.
The females were the first to leave, with Irati Mendia leading the way throughout the swim.
Since it maintained during the cyclist sector and the race of foot, reaching to finish in first position with a time of 1 hour, 10 minutes and 39 seconds.
Behind her came Herminia Abellán, from CT Águilas Prinaflor (1:12:34) followed by Laura Rubio, from Trialhama (1:15:04) who completed the absolute podium.
In the men's category, Mikel Múgica (58:58) won the match in a tight final with Arturo Lucas (59:05) of CT Tragamillas Ciclos Vicea Mercaluz, who finished second only seven seconds behind.
Julio Sánchez, from CT Murcia Unidata, who signed the best swimming part, completed the men's podium.
The Department of Sports of the city of Blanca, organizer of the test, awarded a ham to the club with more participants falling in the Club Triathlon Archena Ibercombus.
