The municipality of Blanca celebrates tomorrow the traditional Romería in honor to its Patron San Roque.
One of the days marked in the calendar by all the white people that, next to the Closure of the Fair of August, is one of the expected events for all the town.
The day begins at 7 in the morning with the arrival of Tío de la Pita to the town that runs through the streets of the town until arriving at the Plaza de la Iglesia, where the Romería begins at 8 o'clock in the morning, with the Saint Accompanied by more than a thousand faithful to its hermitage, located about 5 kilometers from the town center in the area of ​​Campo de San Roque.
At 11 o'clock in the morning there is an Huertan Mass, enlivened by the group of Choirs and Dances of Blanca, of Peña Huertana El Ciecón, and officiated by the Episcopal Vicar of the area of ​​Cieza-Yecla, José Antonio García, and the Local parish priest, José Rodríguez, as consiliary of the Brotherhood of San Roque.
Once there, thousands of whites and visitors spend a day of coexistence tasting the traditional monas and passing a branch of thyme through the yagas of the Saint.
The Municipal Council foresees that about 5 thousand people will meet tomorrow in Campo de San Roque so a safety device has been prepared in which it will have a fire truck, two ambulances, 6 Civil Protection volunteers with two vehicles, One of them of rapid intervention, as well as agents of Civil Guard and Local Police.
In addition, it will have the collaboration of the Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia so, before any emergency, citizens can call 112 directly.
