The mayor of Blanca, Esther Hortelano, and the Councilor for Tourism, Employment, Training and Communication, Ángel Pablo Cano, met yesterday afternoon with the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Juan Hernández and the Director General of the Institute Of Tourism, Manuel Fernández-Delgado Tomás, to present the draft of a Municipal Tourism Promotion Plan, which addresses the bases for the tourism development strategy in the locality for the next years.
The plan has been elaborated with the collaboration of the different stakeholders, among them the active tourism companies, area associations, lodgings and the hotel sector of Blanca.
During the meeting different issues of interest related to this area were addressed and the concerns and problems that have been collected in the different meetings held with local companies were transferred.
City Council and Counseling agree on the strategy for the future development and consolidation of this sector, key to the generation of a greater employment opportunity for the inhabitants of the locality.
