The Victoria Theater hosted on Saturday night the celebration of the XIX Villa de Blanca Folklore Contest organized by Peña Huertana La Capaza.
The festival was attended by groups of choirs and dances, Nuestra Señora la Virgen de los Dolores, La Peña local, and Virgen de la Antigua.
Both groups offered a wide repertoire of traditional dances like jacks, alegrías, fandangos, malagueñas and parrandas.
In addition, La Capaza named its queens for this year
The municipality of Blanca held the nineteenth edition of the Villa de Blanca folklore contest organized by Peña Huertana La Capaza in collaboration with the Department of Culture.
The Victoria Theater was filled with flowers, sings and remarks to dedicate one more night to the folkloric traditions of the locality, in an evening that had the participation of the groups of choirs and dances Our Lady the Virgin of the Dolores, of the Rock Huertana La Capaza, and Virgen de la Antigua, from the Peña Huertana La Contraparada (New Javalí).
In the folkloric encounter both peñas offered a repertoire of jotas, alegrías, manchegas and malagueñas that all its components, majors and small, interpreted of laborious way.
La Capaza took advantage of the celebration of this event to crown their queens who will represent this Peña Huertana de Blanca in all its official acts during 2017. The girl, Cristina Martinez, was named infantile queen, while Gema Martinez and Pilar Lucas were presented as Queen and queen, respectively.
After the act of coronation, the white group honored Cristina Sánchez Cano, with the delivery of the award of Huertana of the Year.
