The Councilor of Celebrations and Youth, Lucía Ato, presented this morning the program of the Carnaval Blanqueño that will have as a central act the traditional parade contest, which will tour the main streets of the municipality on Saturday 25th. A total of 12 comparsas have enrolled at Competition that will have as starting point and comes the Plaza de la Iglesia.
At 18 hours, the tour will begin on Pedro Cano, Anguillara Sabazia, Avenida del Puente, Frutas del Levante, Gran Vía, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Cervantes and Nueva de Blanca.
This year, as a novelty, a new modality of the competition has been established that will reward dance schools with 200, 150, 100 and 70 euros for the first, second, third and fourth prizes, respectively.
The prizes for the category of adults will be 120, 75 and 50 euros, while the children's prizes have been distributed in 70, 50 and 30 euros.
In addition, the establishments of the municipality have donated products that will be part of special prizes.
The Carnival program will start this Wednesday, February 22, with a carnival masks workshop aimed at children up to 12 years of age, which will be taught by the Youth Association Te-loneros at the Centro Social de The White Station, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The same workshop will be held the next day at the MUCAB, also at 4 pm.
Registration is free and will take place on the day of its celebration.
Carnival events will continue on Monday 27 with the parades of the Ana María Matute Children's School, in the White Station, and the traditional Carnival parade of the school Antonio Molina González, at 4 pm, in which children also participate And girls from the Point of Attention to Children of Blanca.
A carnival festival in the park of the White Station, on the 28th at 4 pm, will end the Carnival program of the Department of Festivities and Youth of the Town Hall of Blanca.
