The Governing Council has approved the addendum to the agreement between the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) and the City of White on 28 December, which will involve the expansion of four seats in the residence "Virgen de los Dolores, for an amount of 35,893 euros.
The agreement referred to in the addendum specifies that 521,941 euros would go to maintenance by the IMAS 39 seats in the residence.
Once started the term of the agreement has proved insufficient number of seats initially planned, so it has been considered a priority the creation of new residential places for elderly dependents.
The expansion of residential places located in different parts of the Region of Murcia ensures the specialized care they need older to stay in their usual environment and about their families.
So far this year, the Community has created 448 new places in residences, day centers and sheltered accommodation, both for people with disabilities (112), with a total capacity of 3,763, and for older people (336), with 3,784 plazas.
