The Blanca City Council, from the Councils of Commerce and Finance, will allocate a minimum of 20,000 in direct aid to alleviate the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Blanca's commerce and hospitality that has been forced to close.
The Government of the Nation, due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19, declared on March 14 the State of Alarm to manage the health crisis situation that led to the closure of non-essential activities.
Subsequently, during the month of November, the CARM issued several orders where extraordinary and temporary restriction measures were adopted in certain sectorial areas.
The period of confinement during the State of Alarm and the orders of the CARM contemplated the closure of establishments that were not essential.
Being aware of the hard blow that these events have caused to the different establishments and activities of the municipality, the Blanca City Council regulates extraordinary and urgent aid by means of bases and calls for businesses that have had to cease their activity for the time they have determined the corresponding public bodies, either state or regional, in order to help these businesses to once again boost their economic activity in the municipality.
The aid will range from 300 to 500 for the businesses and establishments that have been most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The total initial amount foreseen by the City Council is about 20,000, in addition to the more than 50,000 that local businesses have already received indirectly in suspension of fees and taxes.
Subsidies may be requested as of this Tuesday, December 15, and will be awarded in order of entry of the application in the town hall registry and until the budget credit is exhausted.
"Being aware of the need to promote the activity of commerce and hospitality in Blanca and after the necessary authorization from the Treasury, we added from the Councilors for Commerce and Finance these new direct aid to businesses and hostelers Locals that would have had to close by decree during the pandemic, "said Pedro Luis Molina, Mayor of Blanca.
