| The Municipality of Blanca provides protection, safety and hygiene material against COVID-19 to the educational centers of the municipality | On the day of the start of the 2020/2021 school year, the Councilor for Education, Paula Cano, has distributed protection material against the coronavirus in the educational institutions of Blanca and Blanca Station.

The mayor has distributed more than 1,000 hygienic masks among the local educational centers (Colegio Concertado La Milagrosa, CEIP Antonio Molina González and CEIP Virgen del Pilar) for boys, girls and teachers, and another 400 FFP2 masks for students and professors of the IES Valle del Segura.

This distribution will continue to be carried out throughout the course depending on the needs of each center. In addition, the City Council of Blanca, during these months of preparation for the new course, has invested around € 20,000 to carry out improvement work and supply all the material required by the educational centers of the town, both hygienic and signaling for cope with the current situation: Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers. Drying dispensers. Drying towels and hydroalcoholic gel for said dispensers. Signs vinyls. Separations for recreation areas. Pedal bins. PPE material (gowns, screens, gloves, leggings, hats and thermometers). Together with the Department of Public Spaces, municipal spaces have been assigned to be able to carry out the unfolding in the classrooms that have required it. Likewise, within the repair works and improvements carried out, the following repairs have been carried out at the Blanca Child Care Point and at the Ana María Matute Nursery School at the Blanca Station: restroom repair, replacement of pallets and flooring, adaptation and placement of windows in the MYP and renovation of the kitchen and vegetable garden in the Infant School. "From the Department of Education we will continue to bet on the educational centers of our municipality, so that everything in our power can be carried out and thus allow professionals and students to have everything they need to be able to develop their work in the manner safest possible ", highlighted the Councilor for Education after visiting the educational institutions of our municipality.
