The mayor of Blanca, Pedro Luis Molina together with the Councilor for Tourism, Ana Belén López, the Minister of Tourism, Cristina Sánchez, the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the whitish painter, Pedro Cano, the whiter sommelier, Alejandro Ramos, and the chef, Rodi Férnandez presented, yesterday, in the Hall of Mirrors of the Romea Theater in Murcia the First Gastro-Meeting of the Ricote Valley, which will be held in Blanca on April 25 and 26.
In the act, the mayor of Blanca presented the tourist video 'Blanca, Heart of the Ricote Valley' and highlighted the importance that this project has for the municipality as a boost to local gastronomy and tourism.
Pedro Luis Molina also pointed out the desire that the project, which starts this year with its first edition, become a reference for the entire Region.
The Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez, commented on the importance of this gastronomic initiative, since it has a flavor of tourism and Murcian gastronomy.
In addition, the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, highlighted the value for Murcia, Gastronomic Capital 2020, the expansion of gastronomic and tourism projects to all municipalities in the Region.
Meanwhile, the whitish painter, Pedro Cano, commented on the cultural and gastronomic importance of Blanca as a tourist attraction and praised the lemon, since for him it is the product that has marked his career as an artist.
The event was enlivened by the dishes made by the chef, Rodi Fernández, inspired by works by Pedro Cano and by the wines of the sommelier whitish, Alejandro Ramos.
Both professionals will coordinate the organization of the Gastro-Encuentro together with the City Council of Blanca.
The gastronomic fair, which will be inaugurated on the morning of April 25 at 1:00 p.m., will be held in a unique environment, such as the avenue of the Segura River, on the river bank, between vegetation and water;
an enclave that is surrounded by natural landscapes, Huerta, fruit trees, citrus and palm trees.
The First Gastro-Meeting of the Ricote Valley will feature more than 15 stands dedicated to restaurants, wineries and shops in the food sector.
Attendees can buy their tapas for two euros, beer for one euro and wine for a euro and a half.
Those interested in participating in the First Gastro-Meeting of the Ricote Valley can register until April 23 by submitting their proposal at the City of Blanca.
