The counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, and the acting mayor, Ester Hortelano, have inaugurated the Lawn Soccer Field, which will be named after Leonardo Murcia Ibáñez.
The act has been attended by various personalities such as the president of the Murcian Football Federation, José Miguel Monje, or the president of the Blanca Club de Fútbol, Antonio Martínez
Both the works and the name of the field have been born thanks to the participation of the Blanquean citizenship that registered around 800 signatures formalizing the request to bear the name of Leonardo Murcia Ibáñez, a neighbor of the municipality who for more than 30 years has performed work in that field in a disinterested way.
This afternoon, at 8:00 pm, the plaque will be discovered by Leonardo Murcia Ibáñez himself, who was very happy and grateful this morning at the opening ceremony.
After the discovery of the plate will be played a football match between former players who retain very fond memories with Leonardo.
The work of installation of grass in the Municipal Soccer Field arose from a process of Citizen Participation and is within the Plan of Work and Services of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
During the morning session, the students of the schools Antonio Molina González and La Milagrosa have enjoyed the new facilities that have had the honor of one of the students.
