The municipality of Blanca announced today that the awards ceremony of the Bullfighting Fair will be next November 17, at 7 pm at the Pedro Cano Foundation.
The event is included in the program of the cultural days organized by the Bullfighting Circle of Blanca that are formed by a conference, the presentation of a book and a visit to the cattle ranch 'El adicío'.
The prizes were awarded last September, with Monteveiejo's livestock as the winner of the Best Livestock trophy.
Victorino Martín, livestock owner of the Monteviejo iron will be in charge of receiving the award from the mayor of Blanca, Ester Hortelano.
As for the "Pedro Molina Miñano" Prize, awarded by the White Bullfighting Circle to the winner of the Fair, it was deserted as reported by the board of directors of the Blanqueña association, who indicated that "it is deserted after the evaluation of our partners, based on in an analysis of the three novilladas and not in the trophies awarded in them, since these are subject to the personal assessment of three different presidents ".
As far as the cultural days are concerned, they will begin on Friday, November 16 with the conference 'Taurine Medicine', at 7:00 pm at the Pedro Cano Foundation.
The table will be moderated by Ángel Calamardo, regional director of Cadena Ser in Castilla La Mancha) and will have three recognized speakers in the world of the bull such as Pascual González Masegosa, Chief Surgeon of the Plaza de Toros de Albacete;
Jesús Cuesta, vice president of the area of ​​the Spanish Society of Taurine Surgery;
and Ricardo Robles, Chief Surgeon of the Bullring of Murcia and Abarán, among others.
On Saturday, November 17, in addition to the awards ceremony of the Bullfighting Fair of Blanca 2018, the book 'Memoria de los 80', by Alfonso Santiago, Chief Editor of the Bullfighting Weekbook '6 Toros 6', will be presented. to make known the intricacies of his book, in an act that will be moderated by the bullfighting critic, Manolo Guillén.
The days will end on Sunday, November 25 with the visit to the cattle ranch 'El Agrega' in Vilches, Jaén.
