The Encierro de Blanca already has an image.
It is a pictorial work by Paco Hernández (Cehegín, 1993) with which the Ceheginero artist intends to represent the majesty of the bull "being in itself a research on the morphology of this beautiful animal, essential, to understand the complex and indefinable artistic experiences that his figure gives us in each of his movements ".
The painting shows the image of a bull's head where Hernández wanted to transmit the strength and bravery turned into a whirlwind of brown, red, dark and luminous spots that, according to the painter, "touch the abstraction in the same way in which the bull picks up swirls of dirt when digging. "
This tide of saline fur moves from left to right along the surface of the work until it forms its head.
The gaze of the bull remains fixed on the viewer, as a reflection of its bravery, from any perspective from which it is contemplated.
The work, collected under the title of 'Toro Sardo', announces the central event of the Patron Saint Festivities that are celebrated in the municipality from August 9 to 16, in honor of San Roque, and that will take place on Saturday August 11 at 3 pm.
In this way, the council of Celebration recovers the traditional schedule of the Encierro, one of the oldest in Spain that is also declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
