The ADA -All Day Art- will take to the municipality, this Saturday, May 19, a great variety of artistic expressions so that "this day is a celebration of the arts" as defined by the councilman of Culture of the municipality of Blanca, Ángel Pablo Cano.
The Consistory has also convened a graffiti and poetry contest
Blanca presents its cultural commitment to commemorate the International Day of Museums, with a program that accommodates all forms of artistic expression with the citizen as protagonist.
Next Saturday, May 19, will celebrate the ADA, acronyms for All Day Art (Art all day), with which the City Council has designed an alternative model for celebrating the International Day of Museums.
The Director of Cultural Heritage, Juan Antonio Lorca, the mayor of Blanca, Ester Hortelano, and the councilman of Culture of the municipality of Blanca, Angel Pablo Cano, presented this morning the ADA, a new project in which the citizen plays a role protagonist.
"Our goal was to transform the paradigm that presides over most of the programming for International Museum Day, and move from a static model in which the citizen interacts with the institution to a dynamic model in which citizens interact to each other "has indicated the mayor of Culture.
Under this premise, Blanca has prepared a program of activities that aims to normalize the participation of citizens in cultural policies and that is not singled out as an extraordinary event, circumscribed to a single day of the calendar, and without major impact on the vital dynamics of the population.
The ADA will convert the municipality of La Vega del Segura into a coexistence and neighborhood participation in which you can paint on the river with the painter Pedro Cano, write poetry, paint a graffiti or enjoy a great concert by candlelight.
There are three concentric circles in which this initiative is structured.
The first and smallest is represented by institutional spaces such as the AADK Contemporary Art Center, the IDOL Room, the Pedro Cano Foundation, the Municipal Exhibition Hall and the Victoria Theater.
The second will be constituted by the own houses of the neighbors, turned eventually into spaces of welcome of the artistic expression.
And the third will be formed by a map of public spaces occupied, during that day, by different artistic manifestations.
The Plaza de la Iglesia or Plaza del Teatro, among others, will be a meeting point between citizenship and painting, sculpture, dance, theater, music, video art or literature, with the aim of "converting citizen of Blanca in the producer of his own culture thus breaking with his condition of passive agent ".
Contests
The Department of Culture has convened two contests for this day, one fast graffiti and one free poetic expression.
Both will have an economic prize of 500 euros for the best graffiti and 150 euros for the best poetic work.
