The counselor of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, and the mayor of Blanca, Esther Hortelano, today signed an agreement to provide home help service to dependent elderly people in the municipality.
The agreement between the Community, through the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), and the White City Council has a financing of 191,268 euros.
The forecast provision corresponds to the 2018, 2019 and 2020 annuities, since the agreement is valid from May 1, 2018 until March 31, 2020.
According to the counselor explained, "this funding will go to personal care services aimed at promoting personal autonomy and encourage appropriate habits and basic skills, as well as for actions at home of people in situations of dependency, in order to meet the needs of his daily life. "
Thus, they can be services related to household or household needs: cleaning, washing, cooking or others, as well as personal attention and the realization of activities of daily life.
It is about providing support and attention, allowing the dependent person to remain in their usual environment and the necessary support to family caregivers.
The service seeks professional attention, as well as continuous monitoring by municipal social services.
The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities in 2018 includes a provision of 1.3 million euros to start the processing of new agreements for home help service of the Unit with the municipalities that requested it: Jumilla, Ricote, Villanueva del Río Segura, Ulea, Mula, Aledo, Albudeite, Lorquí, Blanca, Campos del Río and Molina de Segura, as well as the Eastern Commonwealth.
"These locations are added to the service that was already provided last year in 12 municipalities.A big budget effort is being made so that this service can reach more people, in line with the continuous improvement we carry out for the attention to the dependents, "said the counselor.
