The initiative is part of the campaign-driven Commerce Town Hall through the Department of Consumer Affairs and Commerce and presented in a ceremony attended by representatives of the shops in town.
At the same event began to take shape the creation of the Merchants' Association, which days later signed the statutes.
The first activity performed after the creation of this partnership, the handicraft market is held on Sunday 1 June at the Church Plaza Blanca.
The painter of Blanca Cano Pedro was commissioned to inaugurate the craft Market, along with Rafael Laorden, Mayor of the town, José María Molina, Councilman Joaquin Consumption and Trade and Carpenter, president of the Merchants Association Blanca.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Councillor for Culture, Tourism and Education, Mercedes Candel, and the Councillor for Women, Mari Carmen Rios.
In the opening speech of craft shows, Pedro Cano was happy and satisfied because "the Church Square White recovers, with this market, joy and life that had years ago, when craftsmen took out our products the market to be held in the same place. "
He also noted that "we must recover the Church Square with activities like this, because the Plaza is the heart of White and you have to fill it with life."
For his part, José María Molina, consumption and trade council said that "the objective of the craft market, as all as belonging to traders and craftsmen from Blanca, is to inform as many people as possible, both White and visitors from other municipalities, the products are made in the municipality and can be purchased here, "he also emphasized the strong involvement of merchants in organizing this market," all have done a great job and great effort " .
Molina announced that it intends to organize a craft fair which will last about two or three days, coinciding with the celebrations of the town in the middle of August.
Together with the Craft Market, held under the motto "We are of White, we are artisans, there have been many actions taken by the municipality of Blanca in order to promote trade in the town and show its citizens that the products offered in White are equal or better quality than other places and also at a very competitive price.
One of these actions was the trade campaign "Buy well, buy in White" in which José María Molina, councilman of Commerce presented a catalog in which all trades were collected from White.
White City Council will host this handicraft market on the last Sunday of each month.
The first of these markets was held on Sunday 1 June and in it, the merchants had the opportunity to showcase their products in positions that enabled the Town Hall Square in the White Church.
At 13:30 hours there was a tourist route, in which all those who visited the market and did not know the locality, could discover the landscapes and landmarks from White.
