Blanqueñas Thirteen women have been trained for 40 hours in the repair of garments taught by Abraham Project Association in collaboration with the City of White.
This morning took place the closing ceremony and presentation of diplomas by the Councillor for Social Affairs, Esther Horton, with the director general of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs IMAS, Miguel Angel Miranda, and the president of the Association Abraham Project, Nuria García.
The socio-professional integration of people at risk and / or social exclusion is one of the commitments that the city council and the Association maintained since, in 2009, established a cooperation agreement to improve the employability of people in this situation of social vulnerability.
More than 40 people arising from the Social Services White Township received training in occupational workshops Sewing and Zapatero Remendón the nonprofit entity taught in the 40 municipalities in the region where it operates.
In total were given 160 hours of practical training.
The collection and management of clothing, footwear and toys in the Region of Murcia, by recycling containers, allowing Abraham Project finance these training activities (and other social resources) with chasing combat unemployment, marginalization and any situation impairing the dignity of the person.
This environmental work is also included in the partnership agreement that the municipality and the association held since 2009. In terms of waste collection, Abraham Project develops the service of collecting clothes, shoes and toys, and keeping 10 located in the street containers.
Last year they were gathered in the town of Blanca more than 22,700 kilos of these residues and preventing dumping, and thus promoting reuse within an activity that generates jobs for people experiencing social exclusion.
