The philosopher Francis Jarauta gave a lecture last night where he discovered what lies behind the masks of Les Demoiselles d'Avignon "one of the most influential works of Picasso" as recognized by the teacher.
The talk was held on the third floor of the Foundation Pedro Cano, before hundreds of attendees among whom was the Mayor of White, Rafael Laorden, the Councillor for Culture, Esther Horton, and the painter blanqueño, Pedro Cano.
White, in his effort to be the City of Culture, continues to host events in which to investigate and explore the artwork more universal.
Such is the case of the conference he gave last night the philosopher and professor at the University of Murcia, Francisco Jarauta, Fundación Pedro Cano.
Before hundreds of art lovers, among whom was the Mayor of White, Rafael Laorden, the Councillor for Culture, Esther Horton, and the painter blanqueño, Pedro Cano, Professor Jarauta was unfolding the box Les Demoiselles D'Avignon , one of the most influential works of Picasso, as recognized by the teacher.
Jarauta showed the influence of African culture in the work of painter from Malaga "where the faces of the girls are genuine African masks."
