White awards prizes to the winners of the international comic contest and poetry (16/09/2010)

More than 150 people have participated in both competitions organized by the departments of Culture and Festivities.

Specifically, the comic, there have been works in Japan and several Latin American countries like Argentina, Chile and Mexico.

The City Council again has to hold both competitions next year, in addition to the popular theater and fiction in which the period will remain open until 31 December this year.

The councilman of Culture, Education and Tourism, Mercedes Ortega Candel, yesterday presided over the ceremony awarding the prizes to the winners of the third International Comic Contest Luis Molina and the second Poetry Contest Taurine Villa del Toro.

Comic critic, Paco Olivares, and the painter and draftsman of Blanca Luis Molina, which names the comic contest, were responsible for delivering the first award of this international event to Cartagena Juan José López Saez, endowed with 1500 euros in metal, as well as Marc Llorens Serrano, Alicante, who won second prize of seven hundred euros in comic books that gives the publisher Murcia Castillo Reno.

In addition to the awards handed comic poetry prize in taurine Villa del Toro, organized by the Department of Festivities.

New calls for tenders

The city council has become the tender of comic poetry and taurine.

Participants in the fourth edition of the International Comic Contest Luis Molina may submit their work until June 30, 2011, while the contestants of the third edition of the Poetry Contest Taurine Villa del Toro will have until July 29.

In addition, for this year remain open two contests, the third edition of the People's Theatre Festival Esperanza Castillo and the third edition of the contest Microstories Villa Blanca, whose theme this year is love.

Both events will be open until 31 December this year.
