The Blanqueños and Blanqueñas have accompanied their patron San Roque this afternoon in the traditional procession of Domingo de Piñata, in which the saint is transferred to his Hermitage, where he spent the Lenten period.
This procession preludes the Spring Festivities that will be held in his honor from April 1 to 8.
More than half a thousand citizens, encouraged by the Banda de la Agrupación Musical de Blanca, have wanted to tour the streets of the municipality next to the Brotherhood of San Roque, those men and women who take care of the Image, of their transfer in procession and the organization of his famous Pilgrimage.
This last mentioned event takes place the first Friday after Holy Week.
This year will be April 6, the date on which the entire village travels several kilometers in the processional transfer that the whites make with their patron, to the hermitage erected in his honor and located in the countryside.
