The Mayoress of Blanca proposes to López Miras the extension of the Residence for the Elderly (25/01/2018)

Ester Hortelano has met this morning, for the first time since she is mayor of the municipality, with the president of the Autonomous Community of Murcia who has assured her that the specifications of the expansion project of the public school Antonio Molina González are already being drafted

The Mayoress of Blanca, Ester Hortelano, met this morning with the president of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, to talk about several projects that concern the municipality with special emphasis on the expansion of the Public School Antonio Molina González, which is already underway, and the proposed expansion of the Virgen de los Dolores Residence and Day Center.

Hortelano has left "very satisfied" of his first meeting with the regional government ruler who has assured him that the specifications for the award are already being drawn up, so that shortly, the project of expansion and improvement of the school will be known.

"A project that is very much awaited by all the people of La Blanca, especially by the educational community and the parents of the students," said the mayor.

The public school Antonio Molina dates from 1949 and the cycles of Infant and Primary education are taught.

During all this time, specific actions have been carried out but it is now "when an important project is going to be undertaken", as indicated by Hortelano, thanks to the space provided by the Municipal Consistory, of approximately 500 square meters.

In addition, existing pavilions will be rehabilitated.

For the first mayor of Seville, this is a vital project because "Education must be one of the fundamental pillars of a municipality along with Social Policy."

This has been expressed to the President, showing the need to carry out the extension of the Residence for the Elderly of the town that currently has, in addition, Day Center service and is one hundred percent of its capacity so that "we can not agree or expand more places".

For the white councilor, this work that "allows us to grow and respond to our elders" is of vital importance.

López Miras has received with good predisposition this proposal which has ensured that he will do everything possible because it is a reality.

Ester Hortelano has concluded his presentation indicating the importance of the economy that is created around the Residence and Day Center, of which we must take into account the employment generated by this sector, not only directly with the more than 40 workers , but also those generated indirectly with suppliers and provision of services.

Therefore, "I consider it a very productive and necessary investment for Blanca".

In addition to these two projects, the mayor of Blanca and the regional government councilor have taken stock of the year of mayor that leads Hortelano in Blanca.

A year in which our municipality has experienced "a revulsive" carrying out important investments both in the Municipal Park and in the adequacy of the environment of the Segura River, the hermitage of San Roque, the urban supply and sanitation or the settlement of the road RM-553 that "so necessary is for our municipality".
