From Friday 6th until Sunday 8th October, the municipality of Blanca hosts the SICARM fair, a space where there will be technological demonstrations of virtual reality, 3D printing, video games, augmented reality and robotics, among others.

The inauguration of the fair will be next Friday, October 6, at 12 o'clock in the Municipal Sports Center and run by the Minister of Finance, Andrés Carrillo, and the mayor of Blanca, Ester Hortelano.

The event will be attended by Councilor for New Technologies, Ángel Pablo Cano, and the managing director of Integra, Onofre Manuel Molino, organizers of SICARM in the town of Blanqueña.

During the conference from Friday to Sunday, the Municipal Sports Center will host various workshops aimed at schoolchildren, youth and population in general, from 10 to 14 hours and from 16.30 to 20.30 hours, having Sunday morning time only.

Among other subjects, attendees will be able to learn how to safely and responsibly use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Audiovisual Techniques, Virtual and Augmented Reality or 3D Printing.

SICARM

The Region of Murcia Information Society, SICARM, is a set of technological events that have been held annually in the Region of Murcia since 2001. In these events are disseminated, analyzed and experienced New Technologies from various perspectives and the latest developments in the Information Technology and Telecommunications sectors are presented.

Within the broad concept of Digital Literacy the objective of SICARM is to contribute to the effective incorporation of the Region of Murcia to the Information Society and to the Digital Economy, publicizing the new ICT technologies existing and particularly spreading the initiatives and electronic services available from regional institutions.

On the one hand, SICARM technological demonstrations are carried out in various municipalities of the Region, in large areas with different activity areas and are aimed at the general public, children, parents and grandparents, with a special desire to attract the youngest.

On the other hand, the technical seminars for professionals and entrepreneurs (JTE) SICARM are also developed in different locations throughout the region, in the form of specific thematic talk of initiation in some specific aspect of the use of digital technologies and are aimed at professionals, students of last courses and entrepreneurs.
