The City Council of Blanca and the Association AFEMCE have signed a collaboration agreement in order for both entities to participate in the program for the insertion of young people with intellectual disability and mental illness "Together we are Capable", promoted by FUNDACIÓN MAPFRE since 2010. In Ester Hortelano Ortega, as Mayor of Blanca, Josefa Ruiz Moreno as President of AFEMCE and José González director of MAPFRE as well as Soledad Ríos Ramos as Councilor for Social Welfare, Culture and Personnel.
Thanks to this agreement, young people from the AFEMCE association will carry out practices in the City Hall, which will allow them to acquire skills and experience in the work and tasks of the different dependencies of said Consistory.
So far, the "Together We Are Capable" program has made it possible for more than 4,000 companies to actively collaborate with this initiative, facilitating the training of 2,238 people and the labor insertion of 2,554 people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
The City Council of Blanca Day has been continuously demonstrating its great commitment to the most vulnerable people, supporting different actions in favor of them in the workplace, housing, education, food and health.
For its part, AFEMCE carries out different training programs, psychological, and cultural with the aim of achieving the social and labor integration of these people.
