Next Sunday, June 3, Blanca hosts a new edition of her popular career.

This tenth edition will incorporate a solidary aspect to the sports side, since it will allocate part of the proceeds to collaborate with the activities of the Down Syndrome Foundation of the Region of Murcia (Fundown).

In addition, the test includes other novelties this year, since the traditional distance of 10 kilometers has been added a shorter route, 4.5 kilometers, and a solidary hiking route.

In this way, the race organized by Club Atlético Villa de Blanca and which has the collaboration of the City Council of the town and the Association of Hiking Solidarity of the Region of Murcia, opens to participants of all ages and physical condition with the purpose of enhancing its objective of promoting sport and healthy living habits.

All the details have been presented by Esther Hortelano, Mayoress of Blanca, Roberto Palazón and Antonio Trigueros, president and secretary of Club Atlético Villa de Blanca, Pedro Martinez, director of Fundown, and Antonio Ruiz Ortega of the Association of Solidarity Hiking of the Region of Murcia.

The two races will start at 10.30 am and both the start and the finish will be located on the Avenida del Río Segura, next to the headquarters of the Canoeing Club.

Both the 10k test and the 4.5k test will share part of the route that, in the case of the longest distance, will reach the Azud power station to return in the opposite direction by the same path.

The hiking route, on the other hand, will allow you to visit the Segura river path on your way through Blanca, visit the old town, climb the Arab Castle of the 11th century and ascend to the Virgen Blanca.

His departure is scheduled at 9.00 am from the same place as the Athletics race (Avda. Rio Segura).

The inscriptions can be made through the form available on the web www.toprun.es.

The cost for the athletics tests will be 12 euros, of which 2 euros will go to Fundown.

In the case of the hiking route, registration will be 6 or 9 euros, depending on whether the participant needs insurance or not.

Of these, 3 euros of each one will be delivered to Fundown and the registrations can be made the same day in line of departure from 8.00 hours.
