The mayor of Environment oversees an operation to combat the mosquitoes that due to weather have been installed in the villages of the Vega del Segura.
This action is the fourth of twelve interventions envisaged to eliminate the population of these insects in the municipality.
The treatments are carried out in the river and surrounding areas to it.
The Councillor for Agriculture, Industry and Environment of the City of White, José María Molina has monitored the proceedings this morning for the control and treatment of mosquito populations on the Segura River, passing through the town of Blanca.
"This is the fourth time this year involved to eliminate mosquitoes and prevent the growth of the larvae, but a dozen other actions are planned to control insects without harming the environment," said Molina.
From 5:00 this morning, teams hired by the City Council have been spraying about three miles from stretches of the river and surrounding areas of land to eliminate mosquitoes and prevent the growth of larvae and population outbreaks of this insect.
"The Consistory will continue to make waves spraying to control this pest and prevent insects grow in number and bother people," added the councilman from Blanca.
Following this spraying, working with specific products for the outbreaks of larvae, are scheduled twelve other waves that will prevent the insect population so favored by the favorable weather conditions this year, grow and disturb the local residents.
